The brief

The creative team was tasked by the National Housing Federation to create a new brand for their new Annual Conference which has been running for over 80 years and is the NHF's flagship event. With the conference moving away from the traditional exhibition and shifting importance onto the delegate experience, now was the perfect time to rebrand the event. The new branding needed to highlight the important role that housing associations play for people, communities and the UK economy, but primarily, it’s focus is to target the housing sector and its key stakeholders to foster creativity, future thinking and positive feeling about the work of housing associations.

The process + outcome

In creating this new brand, we saw a real opportunity to launch a fresh and engaging brand that the housing association sector and wider housing, construction and infrastructure industry could relate to. Developing a brand that is instantly recognisable by using a bold and vibrant cloud to illustrate new ideas and positive thinking for the future. The simplicity of the slant in the identity is to show the different sides of the housing sector working together. We used the slant throughout the branding to direct attention.
